Absa prem::Wits, Chiefs clash in showdown

In any given season, the second league game between Kaizer Chiefs and Bidvest Wits would normally be a direct shootout for the league title.
But, ahead of Saturday's meeting between the two giants of South African football, that's not the case. While Amakhosi are still in with a shot of winning the title, the last thing Wits are thinking about is retaining their championship.
The Phefeni Glamour Boys visit Milpark in Johannesburg on Saturday evening to face a fast improving Wits at the Bidvest Stadium. Kick-off is scheduled for 6pm.
One area where Chiefs have been impressive this season has been at the back, and Wits coach Gavin Hunt is mindful that the Soweto giants would be a tough nut to crack.
While Wits are completely out of the title race at this stage, Hunt still believed his side still had a hand to play in where the trophy they currently hold will end up.
Kaizer Chiefs' Kgotso Moleko admitted on Friday that their game against the champions was one they had to win if they wanted to keep up with league leaders and favourites for the title Mamelodi Sundowns.
"We have to win," Moleko was quoted by his club's website.
"We are close to log leaders Mamelodi Sundowns and we want to minimise the points gap," he said.
The 28-year-old right-back played for the first time last week since their 1-0 win over Ajax Cape Town in December and put his hand up to remain in the team.
"I always have to be ready when called upon. It [his performance against Sundowns] went well, despote lacking a bit of match fitness, because of not having played much," he said.
"As a result of this, I felt some muscle strain towards the end of the Sundowns game, especially as we were really pushing, trying to win it," he said.
Neither club has any fresh injury concerns, although Chiefs will still be without striker Bernard Parker, and defenders Tsepo Masilela and Sibusiso Khumalo, who have already missed the majority of this campaign.
