Anthony Watson and Sam Simmonds scored two tries apiece as England started their bid for an unprecedented third successive outright Six Nations title with a 46-15 win away to Italy in Rome on Sunday.
Dashing wing Watson crossed twice inside the opening 11 minutes while No 8 Simmonds, only playing because of injuries to Billy Vunipola and Nathan Hughes, went over for his first two test tries late in the second half.
Italy were in the game at just 10-17 down at halftime but it was an all too familiar story for the Azzurri, who've now lost all 24 of their tests against England, as the visitors scored four tries after the break, with fly-half George Ford and replacement back Jack Nowell also dotting down.
